    Thanks for your comment. Just for clarification, is this comment directed towards Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome? Or is it a totally independent contribution?

    E.Coli O157:H7 and Shigella dysenterie produce the "Shiga" toxin

    HUS:
    Acute Renal Failure
    Microangiopathic Hemolytic Anemia
    Thrombocytopenia

    Rx: Suggested by etiological process/pathological lesion(s)/anatomical localizations
    e.g. Antibiotic (not against toxin) but against continued toxin production, Correction of Anemia nutritionally or by transfusion & Dialysis
